I would just ignore it!!! You know that what you are doing is best for you & your babies!!! If someone says something to you, I would just reply" I am being a responsible parent by keeping healthy for myself as well as my unborn child...And that you hope to serve as an example of health for others, pregnant or not as well as your children someday!" However I think squirting them would be funny! Don't do that though!

I know how you feel- people used to stare at me at the gym when I was pregnant. Some people seem to consider pregnacy as a disability and find it shocking that pregnant women continue with a normal life!! Good on you for taking care of yourself---I reckon that you should squirt them with your water bottle!!

go ahead and squirt them, if they want to keep starring at you tell them your pregnant and not fat. tell them that pregnant women can work out all the way to there 9 month. however it might get harder to run so walking is something you will want to do later on. if they still wont listen or stop staring ignore there stupidness and go to a mommy and me class I'm sure they have workout sessions for pregnant moms to. and no one will stare at you there. in fact they now what your going through they probably will ask the normal questions of when are you do,how are you feeling.

Go ahead and squirt them- too bad I couldn't be there to see the look on their faces. People always have some kind of comment to make no matter who you are, where you go or what you do. Tell them to kiss your ***- and be thankful you can go to the gym while pregnant. My doc always puts me on bedrest for my entire pregnancy due to my high blood pressure. Wish I could have gone to the gym while I was pregnant. I know it would have helped. Good luck and congratulations!

LOL, this is so funny to me. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was doing water aerobics because I was so big and I had hurt my back. I am 5'7" and was 98 lbs. when I got pregnant and 203 lbs. when I went into delivery (I know, fatty, huh?). I would be at the gym in my bikini doing my water aerobics and people would look at me weird and I would just smile and say, "I know, ridiculous that I'm in this bikini, huh?" I can't imagine why anyone would want to look down on a pregnant woman for exercising!! So I just made it about my giant belly hanging out of my bikini!

Assuming that the two of you have discussed your exercise level with your respective care providers, I would be tempted to say something like "Funny, you don't LOOK like my doctor..." If they are making comments, answer the comments shortly and factually. If they are giving you looks, ignore them as best you can.
People do have a tendency to treat pregnancy as some sort of debilitating medical illness, and obviosly different women can handle different levels of physical activity while pregnant. But as long as you are working within healthy guidelines, let their problems be THEIR problems.

i walked to the gym and then worked out at the gym all during my first pregnancy, and i never got any dirty looks. it always amazes me how rude people can be. there is nothing wrong with walking on a treadmill, you walk in the store don't you? or should we just sit on our butts for 9 months?

You can tell them that your friends knows her body and her limits better then again one else.
They say labour is like doing a marathon so if she is in training she is sure going to come first place at the birth race.

I won't worry to much about what other people think, they are probably just jealous.
I like the first response though.
As long as you and your friend feel good and doctor is alright with how you are exercising, then tell everyone else to mind there own business!
