The Flamingo is relatively nice, they have 5 beautiful pools with gardens and a wild- life perserve.(it is a must-see in the summer months.) There's a very good italian restrurant that is moderately priced, and a great steak house. You can't beat the location...center strip!when you check in, ask about getting an upgrade to one of the "go luxury" rooms...these rooms are awesome! (plasma tvs, dvd players, marble bathrooms..there's even a flat screen tv built into the bathroom mirror!) also, check out the spa, it is great and so relaxing!

It is older but still very classy. Much of it has been reomdeled so it wont feel old to you. Of all the places I have stayed I think that is where I felt like I got the best value.
The pool is INCREDIBLE. Very lively, alot of young people and fun things to do. Just get out there early during the more crowded times of year.
The food options are much like other vegas hotels, alot to choose from and good quality. Their buffet is not the best I have had, but still was plenty good enough and decently priced.
And as far as location it could not get any better. Right in the middle of all the action. One word of advice, ask for a room in the new wing with a view of the strip if they have one... you will like it alot.

As far as hotels on the strip it is probably right in the middle. Location wise and price wise too. There is a Jimmy Buffet's restaurant in the front and a very nice pool in the back. It has several pools all connected by slides. If you want a decent room in a decent hotel in a decent location you can't go wrong.

flamingo is one of the older, cheaper hotels down here. i haven't been in the rooms (i live here what do i need a hotel room for???) but for being older its nice. the newer hotels are obviously better, but you dont have to stay somewhere expensive to have fun in vegas.

It's one of the older hotels, but very nice. And it's in the heart of the strip. You can walk from there to all the other hotels & sights.
They also have a good buffet.

I am staying there in May and have reserved a "GO" room which has a plasma tv; electronic window treatments, etc. Check out www.tripadvisor.com; They have actual photos that people have posted. Good luck.
