My boyfriend and I just started going out,and we used to be best friends,and now everybody is sayin' that we make a nasty couple,and I don't care and neither does he.I am just sick and tired of even hearing my friends say,"Ew! Jessica,he is ugly! You can do way better than that!" I hate hearing that! This is my life,not theirs! I just can't make them stop,Oh,by the way,I am 13.

Jessica, you are the best person in the world. If he treats you right and care for you then you can not do any better. If he is your best friend then you are doing better than anyone of your friends will ever do. Looks are not the important part of a relationship. How he cares for you and you care for him. Stay the course if you so choose and take heart that you have the heart to love someone you really care about. No, Jessica You Can't Do Better Than That. People are so insensitive at your age, pay them no mind. Remember we all change and the ugly duckling turn into a beautiful swan. You get an A+ in this subject.

Stand your ground with this thats your friends opinions and they can't control you tell them that, if they keep doing that say "hey if your me then you can make fun of my bf but yeah thats right your not me so could ya lay off???" or some thing else like "If you have the right to say that then maybe your not my real friend." Then turn around and walk away, look I'm pretty sure that your friends are jealous that you've got a bf and they dont it's probably jealousy anyways either that or just ignore it pretty soon they'll be bored with it that it doesn't get to you so they'll move on. I will bet you that those who are saying he is ugly will be the ones dating him when you are not going out with him any longer, I dated a guy that wasn't as cute as the other guys , but when I broke up with him all the girls wanted him, if you like him then you don't let any one make your lifes choices, only you can make them even if you choose the wrong things now in then, they are your choices, and ask them where their boyfriend is ????? good luck sweetie,

They'll just have to deal with it or die unhappy. Do what makes you happy. Try telling your friends they sound like a broken record, they're not going to change your mind, and to stop bugging you about it. Your real friends will respect you and back off. They aren't worth knowing if they don't.

first thing first at the age of 13 duh you may think you are old enough to date . but you are not because life is changing around you . and what your friends thinks sound like a personal problem to me . ps remember you have time for all relationship later in life .

Tell them to go jump in the lake, it's not their problem, they're not with him. If he likes you and you like him, that's all you need. They're probably just jealous that you have someone steady.
