Buying a 64 fairlane or a 64 galaxie.?
im interested in buying either one of thes 2 cars.can you tell me what the major things are to look out for.like frame problem rust areas.i need some things to look out for. and what they usually the price is on according to the quality of the car is. I NEED AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE. THANKS.

Ford's of that era had weak frames especially on the galaxie's, look for rusted out frames on any of them.

From my experience (back then) the larger ford engines had a lot of mechanical problems (rings, valves, etc...) after the creation of the Falcon (60) and the Edsel (58) from the 60's on Ford had earned the nickname:

F (ix)
O (r)
R (epair)
D (aily)

.. then again they did come up with the Mustang in '64 and that helped a lot.
