I have a problem with procrastinating, especially when it comes to school. I have always been a procrastinator, I probably starting noticing it more by my junior year of high school. Currently, I am in college and I still suffer from procrastination. I still get good grades, I have a 3.85 GPA in college currently but procrastinating causes me stress. When I attempt to begin on working on something the day it's assigned I cannot focus on the task at hand. I can't focus on the work until about a day before it's due, I still do good on the assignment but I get so stressed out and it causes me to have sleepless nights which transfers the stress to my work and even my relationship. Can someone help me become a nonprocrastinator? Any tips and advice will be very much appriciated!

Give yourself a reward of some kind only after you get it done (ie go out to dinner, etc.).

The payoff you receive for procrastinating is maximum in all probability the reason why you ultimately end up repeating the progression. Procrastinators positioned off projects till the very very last plausible second because, at that l a s t second, there's a burst of power from adrenaline and neurotransmitters released depending on the acute stress the mind is below. Procrastinators get a organic intense, a organic euphoria, by technique of waiting till there's no more effective time to look ahead to ending up the interest, if he/she needs to achieve success. Many procrastinators are commonplace for declaring, "I do my perfect artwork below pressure." it truly is easily no longer the reality, even though it justifies the waiting as a worth reason. the actual shown reality that you sense so drained and can want to somewhat no longer do the artwork right now is yet another component. when you're drained perpetually, it would want to be that you unknowingly seem ahead to the push on the in basic terms right minute because you want a strengthen out of the common on a daily basis fatigue. i have discovered the frustrating way that early and secure preparation easily prevents the on a daily basis fatigue to some quantity....i'm getting a "2d wind," a clean burst of power because i'm tackling something it truly is frustrating and that i understand i'll triumph over the interest. Now THAT brings a staggering feeling....and that is way more effective perfect than the in basic terms right-minute below pressure-out power raise and next power crash. (ok, Saccade, be positive!) Consistency is what your body desires, what your mind desires, and what you as a individual want to locate get away from the ever-modern-day psychological fatigue.

I have the same problem. I was always able to coast by and still make good enough grades so there was never any sort of incentive to really try.
Maybe try breaking it down into smaller pieces and assigning each piece with your own due date or set amount of time to finish. Reward yourself every time you complete a piece of it.

jsut get off your butt and stop being lazy. Maybe you just work better under pressure some people do. Try taking baby steps work on one thing at a time. Find something other than school work in which you procrastinate and keep telling yourself just do over and over again, see what happens. gl

Trust me, if you have a 3.85 you don't have a problem.
