I'm learning some Scottish music and would like to know what everyone's favorites are and if their sheet music is online. Right now my favorites are reels.

Loch Lomond

I like the ballads..Loch Lomond, Scotland the Brave,etc.

There is a little difference between the Scot and Irish ballads. The scots used bagpipes more whereas the Irish used Uillean pipes, penny whistles, etc.

Check out A Celtic Tale by Jeff and Mychael Danna (irish) i also love She Moved Through The Fair.

Trivia- the bagpipes originally hail from Arabia during the First Crusades. Scottish knights loved them and brought them to Scotland.

Danny Boy. Did you know that a man wrote that for his son that was going off to war? I love Bag pipes! I have a CD by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. My favorite tune on it is Amazing Grace.

Loch Tay Boat Song...

one of the most beatiful songs out there... i don't know of a link to sheet music... but if you can't find the song (and i suggest you get the song by the Corries) then let me know... i'll galdly give it to you.
