Are there any safe ab works that i can do to try and stay in some sort of shape without hurting the baby?

I know people who worked out the entire time and didn't gain as much and didn't have a hard time getting it back off. I am not worried about my growing belly I just want to stay fit so that it won't be sooooo hard after birth.

I highly recommend The Pregnancy Exercise Book by Judy Difiore. I used it with both my pregnancies, all the way up to two days before I had my second. It has a lot of exercises to keep your abs (and other parts) toned without harming your baby. Being in shape does help prepare your body for labor and can result in an easier labor. My first labor was only seven hours and my second was ten (the first few hours were really slow though so they don't quite count.) I think the exercise I did gave me more stamina and also helped keep my labors shorter. Good luck!

You are not supposed to do ab workout at all while you are pregnant. You do some light aerobics, yoga or pilates. Walking is really good for you too.
