i have pretty pale skin myself. i thought the maybelline was orangey too! i use covergirl smoothers. the concealer runs about 7 dollars. not too bad and you can pick it up at walmart or your local drug store. it is pretty light and natural. they have some very light 1s to choose from. they blend easy too!

I use Infallible by Loreal (costs around $10-11), the lightest shade, as I also have very fair skin. It does not seem orange to me at all. The only true "translucent" powder I've ever found is Cornsilk, but I'm not sure they make it anymore. I can't find it, anyway. Now I use the Loreal loose powder, or Maybelline shine free - but the Maybelline does tend to darken the foundation a bit.

Clarins does a lovely range for lighter skin but if you dont want to spend that much on foundation then mix you liquid foundation with a little bit of moisturising cream it really tones down the colour and to balance it out a bit more use pink blush instead of browns... you shouldnt have to worry about the colour of concealer if you can blend the foundation and blush properly ontop of it

Hi! I too have very pale skin. I've tried many different foundations, tinted moisturizers, etc from many different lines - very cheap to very expensive. I don't really need the coverage of a liquid foundation and the lightest i've ever found would be in the Physician's Formula line. They have new tinted moisturizers in the organic line that are very light, and they go on very nicely. Available at drugstores all across canada. I hope this helps!

I found an awesome foundation from Bee-Luscious cosmetics, its called Mineral liquid power and its in a black tube it costs 32.00 dollars but it LASTS! I used my first tube and it went for like 7 months, its really light and sheer but yet has coverage. you can look at it on the main site www.beeroyalproducts.com
the shades are very similar and they blend awesomely to your skin tone...

Revlon makes a foundation that is very fair...works great for me and isn't expensive...find the lightest shade available...Colorstay (Ivory)
You can generally find light shades of powder in loose form..
If you want to go more expensive...MAC is great..they have light shades and is very good quality.

I have very fair skin too and what works pretty well for me is Tru Blend by Loreal Paris, proclein, W1. It costs around $8.00 at your local Wal&Mart. As far as powders, many of them look too orange on me too.

I agree that you get bare minerals. I think it covers way better then a concealer and I have really fair skin and it blended in really nice with my skin tone.

Try a mineral powder, they tend to be more sheer and natural looking. I believe physicians formula makes one, though I'm not sure about the tones. Bare Minerals is fantastic.
