1) Yes. On the top of the wii are two flaps. Underneath one of them are four GC controller ports and there are two GC memory card slots under the other. Connect a Gamecube Controller and Memory card appropriately and then insert your GC disc correctly (the same way you'd insert a wii disc) and you should be away. Don't forget to select the disc channel from the main menu with the wii remote and click start as well.

2) The wii will have online games but so far, no online multiplayer games are availible yet. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a confirmed online game and I've heard rumors that Metroid Prime 3 Corruption will be as well. Wii online will use the same friend code system that the DS and DS lite uses.

1. Yes, gamecube games need to be played ONLY with the Gamecube controller.

2. Yes, it does have online multiplayer capabilities BUT there are no games out right NOW that are capable of that but soon there WILL be.

The console will communicate and connect with other Wii systems through a self-generated wireless LAN, enabling local wireless multiplayer on different television sets.

Battalion Wars 2 will be the first to demonstrate this feature for non-split screen multiplayer between two or more televisions
