Why is it that no matter what color the bubble bath is, the bubbles are always white?

Look again. Look closely. They are not white - they are rainbow colored!

Not white, actually the bubbles show an interference pattern on their surface which will be a rainbow of all the colors available in the ambient lighting. Usually this lighting is white light, so the average light reflected from the bubbles large and small will be white. The color of the bath makes no difference.

They are clear but like the first person said, if you look close you see a rainbow prism.
