I don't know...I mean, sure you can damage anything with restricting blood flow, but it would have to be for a long enough period of time to actually cause irrepairable damage.

My husband has both nipples pierced. Didn't hurt him, other than initially...

Any living tissue will die if prolonged restriction of blood flow happens.

I would imagine so, if they were restricted long enough. If you're just messing around with them for, say, foreplay or somethinng like that, it shouldn't hurt. Don't ask me how I know that! ;)
