One of my friends just got engaged. Usually I'm happy when this happens but this time I'm not. This guy has gotten physical with her in the past and she would call me every week wanting to break up with him. Now she is going to marry him and she wants me to be in the wedding. I don't feel like I can do that after the things she has told me. What do you do in a situation like this? I just feel like she is marrying this guy just because she wants to get married and he is there.

The only thing you can do is be her friend. Tell her the truth and make it clear that you are only looking out for her best interests. and if she doesnt see your side theres nothing you can do

Tell your friend in the nicest way you can, how you feel about this situation and how you think she is making a mistake. If she cares about you as much as you seem to care about her, maybe she'll understand-I'm not making promises though! And if she doesn't like you sharing your feelings about it, let her be. You don't have to be in her wedding if you don't want to. It's her life to ruin-not yours!
