I'd use the US Constitution, without the bad decisions of the Supreme Court included.

I personally think alot of the ideas within our current Constitution would be used. The three branches of government each with different responsibilities and powers to check and balance each other. The protection of basic rights like the freedom of speech, religion, assembly, and due process of law have to be addressed. You must also have a way to fairly elect representatives to represent the people.

I would maybe consider electing representatives in Congress by making citizens select a party rather than a person (basically this is what most people do now anyway). We only really have two choice (rep or dem) but what would happen if there was no majority in Congress and we had 10 Green party members, 15 Libaterians, 2 Communists, and a dozen or so other random third parties. Wouldn't more voices and opinions be heard and represented?

My constitution would be.

1. If you commit murder you are put to death the same exact way THAT person was killed....
2. If commit rape, you will be put to death pending a detailed forensics report.
3. If you do not work, you are DEPORTED.
4. If you do not go to school...you are DEPORTED.
5. If you are in my country "illegally"...you will have to work after the proper criminal background screenings.
6. If you are arrested and convicted 3 times...you will be DEPORTED.
7. If you dont pay taxes...you can still work, you just wont be paid for it...
8. Any criminal acts towards a child...immediate death...no waiting list...just DEATH.
9. Community service would be MANDATORY...failure to do community service would be immediate DEPORTATION.
10. Everyone MUST vote...failure to vote means that you have no say in ANYTHING...laws, anything that may seem unfair to you...

Man this was fun!

I like the one we got.

But what I would change is I would have the Supreme Court adhere to the words of the Constitution we got instead of making up anything they want.

They are not kings, but try telling them that.

My Country laws:
A person who is found guilty gets executed the same day.
A robber can get shot if he enters your house.
You can get weapons leagaly
Roads shall be properly fixed.
No one without a real education (liberal arts or social sciences) can teach.
No BS textbooks in schools
Free speech to everyone no matter our etnicity
No teachers can teach their opinion
No liberal book would be read in schools.
illegal immigrants will not be tolerated unless running away from a dictator.
I'm not sure what kind of government I would have.
