I am 50 years old and I have a fab broomstick pleated skirt in a shiny goldish color. It is silk and has a flowy look. It falls between my knee and ankle. I have black pointy boots that almost hit the botton of the skirt. Is this ok or should I wear tall boots or shoes?

I would definitely say that the bottom of the skirt should fall below the top of the boots. Otherwise, it breaks up the length and makes your legs look shorter and plumper. Tall boots would be good, but a softer feminine shoe like a crocheted flat or wedge would be good too.

Personally, i would either wear shorter length boots or just wear a pair of heels. Or keep the boots but get a skirt the is like a couple of inches below the knee (like 3 or 4 inches).

I agree with Office Goddess. The length of boot and skirt you're describing sound like they'll just make you look shorter if you pair them together. A knee-length boot would look great, but so would some cute flats.

I think a nice pair of pretty shoes would look nicer than boots.
Tall boots look nice when the skirt is shorter.

I would wear it with tall boots but i think you could pull off the knee ankle boots if you really like them best

in my opinion I'd try some flats or short heels
check out the links
I think red would also look pretty good
brown and warmer colors work with gold really well
I'd try taller boots tho.. if you don't want flats
I'm just givin suggestions
