First of all never use acrylics again!! you really are better off with gel nails.. they are better quality but lock in the moisture so your nails do not become dry and peel like they are now. The best thing you can do is rub a little bit of olive oil on them every morning or gelatin cubes. they are rich in protein which is what your nails need. You can also get a small bottle of nail richener which is similar in appearance to nail polish for really economic prices. This will do a similar job to a manicure and save you some cash for next time so you can get gel nails. Good luck.. but don't expect results over night. Give them a little file and a buff every now and again to make them look healthy and keep your finger nails AWAY from washing up liquids...

Don't bother with expensive polish!

Buy a good pair of nail clippers and a bottle of clear polish (Sally Hansen is a good brand; get the kind without any added 'protein/collagen/etc')

Trim your nails short; below the ends of your fingertips and apply 2 coats of clear polish. Add 1 coat a day and when the polish begins to peel, remove and start again.

Continue to trim your nails to the above length on a weekly basis until the damaged nail has completely grown out.

Good Luck!

the glue really plays havoc with your own nails. the only thing you can do is to leave off those acrylic ones. cut your nails right down so you're cutting away most of the damaged nail. use plenty of moisturiser every night, morning, evening, basically as much as possible, keep cutting back those nails until the new healthy nail starts to emerge, but keep away from the fake or you will have to start all over again. good luck. hope this helps.

i once experimented with nails and after they came off, I nearly cried every time I looked at my own nails they were in such a state. I will never put them through it again!! I was told to use almond oil and vitamin e so I bought dove hand balm (contains both of these) which really helped. Seemed to take forever for them to 'heal'! Good luck

I had the same problem when I had my silk wraps taken off, and my nails were ruined, sore and soft!! I used something called Nailtiques. They do 3 different types, and I had number 2 one which is to nourish and strengthen nails. Not cheap tho- Cost about £15.00 for a small bottle (like clear nailvarnish) Got it from my local salon.

its no longer a lot staining which will be a difficulty extra that it will start up to disinergrate them! (with frequent remover) putting a depressing nail varnish on for a lengthy era will stain them yet this will also stain frequent nails too. you want to apply a sturdy high quality acetone loose nail polish remover (some wil say on them perfect for acrilic / fake nails)

Get a good quality, clear nail polish and keep them painted until your nails grow out. If you have to, put a couple of coats on today and put a coat on every day.

I hate getting those nails removed. They really are bad for our nails but they look good. The things we do to ourselves. Right?

Cuticle oil. You sholud ALWAYS use this to keep your natural nails strong, especially when it comes to having acrilic nails done.

i have had this happen before. If your natural nails are really bendy and in bad bad shape, trim them short and then apply a nail strengthener like sally hansen's acrylic--paint them like regular nail polish and it dries in one minute and they will be stronger. it's clear. it's important to moisturize by either a good hand cream/cuticle cream or nail oil that can be bought in just about any drug store. They will have to regrow out--that's been my experience.
