Having no success with non matching specs?

It shouldn't, as long as they will communicate, it will just be limited to the speed of the slower component.

If they won't communicate then they may be incompatible, but it's not because of speed.

As long as they're all 2.4 GHz (11b, 11g, and 11n) they should work at the lowest speed supported. You can configure them to work best on the band you can support. If one is 802.11a, however, they won't work together, but it's unlikely you have an 11a-only device. Let me know what difficulty you're having and I can help you sort it out.

speeds shouldnt matter, its just that the lowest speed is goin to be the max since you cant go fastest then your weakest link....
