The normal range for menstruation to start is from the young age of nine to the hearty age of sixteen. This time of menstruation beginning does not affect the length of a woman, for menstruation ends at about fifty. Relax if you are early; nobody can tell you have it unless you tell them, and if you feel a little late, don't worry either. But if you don't have your period by age sixteen, go to a doctor immediatley for a diagnosis in low hormone distribution. Good Luck!

Miss Rachel

The normal age is anywhere between 12-15. Your menstral period really does not have anything to do, directly, with your height. Both of these functions, period and growth, is controlled by the posterior pituitary gland, which is located in your brain. So, both functions originate from the same place, but there is no direct correlation, and one does not "affect" the other.

the normal age is like 12 or 13, but some girls can have it as early as 9 or as late as 16.
