I am really bad about remembering to keep my cell phone charged. I would like to just keep it plugged into my vehicle's power source at all times. Do I need to unplug it everytime I turn off the car, or will it be ok to leave it? I'm afraid it might drain the battery, but then again it doesn't use that much power so I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

I'd be more concerned about your cellphones battery than your car's. It is best to use your home charger to charge your phone and only use your car charger for emergencies. Some car chargers are not programed to stop sending a charge to your phone when it is fully charged. This can seriously damage your cell's battery. If you do choose to keep it charging in your car, just know that you may eventually end up having to buy a new battery, which typically runs about $60!

The current draw from an led light like that will not impact the battery at all unless you left it on for months. Think about a car alarm blinking light. The car can sit for a year and the battery would be fine. The current draw from led lights is next to nothing. No need to take it out.

if u dont unplug it after u shut the car off it will drain ur battery. its the same as leaving the interior light on after u turn off the engine.

No problem, I do it all the time. And look at the bright side, if your car battery does go dead, at least you can call the tow truck on your cell phone.
