What are some easy songs for a beginner to play on guitar. I mean like pure amateur, for someone like me who barely knows a thing about guitar. I can read tabs and stuff, but I just need some songs easy enough for me to do.

if you are a beginner, from experience you should
learn blues guitar and start learning scales
you will be an overall much better guitarist

1) Smoke On The Water - Deep Purplease 2) Seven Nation Army - White Strips 3) Highway To Hell - AC/DC 4) Wonderwall - Oasis 5) Iron Man - Black Sabbath 6) Paranoid - Black Sabbath 7) Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana 8) James Bond Theme 9) Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream 10) Slither - Velvet Revolver. Some of these are harder than the others. if I were you I'd start with the James Bond Theme. go to 911 tabs...wonderwall and leave the pieces are two of my favorites to play. And they're easy- I'm a beginner too

I'm a keyboardist myself, but this translates to guitar.
If you learn the very common chord progression of (Key of C) C-Am-F-G, this will pave the way to learning a lot of songs. Many of the songs I tend to play follow this pattern.
