they are alternative bands some other good alternative bands are simple plan, the red jumpsuit apparatus, My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, Shinedown, Yellowcard, foo fighters, third eye blind.

you should try listening to Guster. they are my alltime favorite band. try the cd Guster on Ice. Its probably the best one where you can hear all of their different album sounds.
