Has anyone had any succes deturing those black noisy crows from your property? They are driving away all the little cute birds such as sparrows! I do not know what would work in repelling them.

While a crowbar is effective only against the largest crows, "scarecrows" have been used for centuries. Also, you can use shiny pie tins hung in the breeze. Any effective bird repellant you use will have the effect of dissuading desirable birds as well. A shotgun can be used for selective bird control.

I have same problem. No answer. Fortunately my crows and ravens leave with warmer weather. In mean time I use bird feeders with the umbrella tops and lower the umbrella down low enough so only the small birds get the food. Also have plenty of cover for the small birds to hide in. Don't set out any food a crow might like......peanuts for example........it just encourages them to stay.

Try putting out a "Scare Crow" or a big plastic owl. Move them every day or two or the crows will get used to seeing them in the same place. If you live out of town shoot a shotgun in their direction

My husband came up with a wonderful idea. And now they stay away.
He built me some feeders that only the small birds could enter and feed in peace. the larger birds can't fit in and now they just don't come around anymore. works great...
