Last night's auditions seemed to me to be just a bullying exercise against people who are geniunely clueless. It just came from a really mean place making fun of people's appearences and less-than-cool personas. The constant laughing of the judges at people and their enjoyment of ridiculing people really made me think it was time to take it off my TIVO. I don't think they, or the producers, are good people.

i love american idol, but this year it seems to be a little worse than usual. the first two shows this week seemed to be all the horrible singers. i actually kinda got tired of watching. yeah, the bad ones are entertaining to an extent, but i watch more for the good talent. it is a shame that this show is really playing it up on the poor people whose moms told them all their life they were wonderful singers just to avoid breaking their hearts. i also agree that there seems to be more laughing and insults this year. even paula has been doing this more than i ever noticed it before. it is a shame really. but as usual, i will keep on watching. sad but true.

Of course the judges and producers aren't good people. They want the ratings so more companies will spend more millions on commercials. That's why they only really show the dumb a** people in the first week. For the ratings dear.

i couldnt disagree with you more. I used to work in radio and you would be absolutely amazed how many idiots want a job in radio who couldnt cut it for nothing. if the people close to the audition folks cant tell them they couldnt carry a note in a bucket it falls on the role of the judges. being cruel isnt fun but its obvious the people need a very heavy dose of reality. nancy pelosi doesnt judge this show. its about being real, not pc.

Yes, totally mean. And it looked like they were making everyone sing the same song (That Pussycat Dolls one) so they could make that montage at the end of all the bad singers. So unnecessary and cruel. I'm a step away from not watching anymore.

I agree. They were all especially mean last night. It's really turning me off of American Idol. I don't think I'm gonna watch it next week.

Those stupid people are stupid enough to think they can sing, I don't think they're mean enough.
