Sometimes something other than an "object" can be more fun. If you don't get to spend a lot of time together, give her the gift of your time and full attention. Spend the day with her doing whatever she wants. Take part in an activity you used to enjoy together and don't get to do very often any more. Since she's 14 maybe even a day with you together at a spa getting a facial and manicure and/or pedicure, something like that. Just a thought...

I'm fourteen and my parents got me a 30G video iPod for my birthday. If you're not into spending that much on a huge gift, try a few of her fave movies or a movie about something that she likes- for example the movie Stick It if she enjoys gymnastics. Tickets to a concert of her fave band or Cds would be a good idea. Look at her interests and thing of things she uses or could use. If she's really into art than take that and go with it- new art supplies, fancy charcoal pencils for drawing, paint for painting whatver she likes.

well, for one, what is your relation to her? and how old are you?
~sister, younger=an item from a popular trend, like a doll or card pack, ect. or just some big sibling money.
~sister, older= some nice jewlery, something that kind of reflects her attitude, religion, ect.
~Daughter= whatever she wants. hey, you can never spoil your baby girl enough, in my opinion.
~girlfriend= some love jewlry, such as a two piece heart, one for you and one for her. something you can share, or something that is custom designed after her, like a picture of you and her.
~best female friend= common, surely there was a time when the two of you had alot of Fun together. a momento of that time that would spark her memory of the incident would be perfect.

I hope that that helps.

Take her to a make up consultant for analysis of the colors and tones she should use and basic instruction in using makeup properly. At that time purchase the proper make up recommended by the specialist. A grown up gift for a young lady.

Wireless headphones. I love 'em...
Or a fun ring watch.
Or a pillow shaped like a panda.
Or a gift card to Clairs.
Or make something out of wax. Like a tiara or a turtle...
