First = primitive community
Second = ancient Greece. A very ancient civilization. The Iliad is said to be from 1300 BC, in the bronze age
Third = ancient Rome. Rome is said to be founded in 735 BC
Fourth = middle ages. The Middle age is said to begin after the Western Roman Empire fell, in 476
Fifth = Renaissance. It began between the XV and the XVI centuries. A possible factor that made it possible was the Turkish domination of Constantinople, making many wise people escape the the West, carrying valuable documents with information about the golden years of the Ancient Age

Although there is not a strict demarcation between these ages, the chronology would basically be Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Middle Ages, Renaissance. Just for future reference, the Middle Ages are considered to have begun with the fall of Rome in the 5th Century AD. Anything before that is considered "ancient."

There is no comparison possible between Ancient Greece and Rome.Ancient Greece started its Civilization around 2500 B.C. in the Cycladic Islands,from there to Crete and Santorini for the Minoan Civilization until its distruction around 1250 B.C..From there to the mainland Mycenaens and then to the City States (Classical) which is known in general as Ancient Greece. The Greeks gave the Romans everything spiritual and cultural. They had only their army and the man-power to construct great building-projects. Do not forget that when we talk about Rome we are talking about a big part of Europe ,Africa and Asia,some very big minds came from there and got Roman Citizenship. The Romans themselves saw the knowledge og Greek as a sign of culture.
