i have the 30 gig ipod and when i turn it off at night and come home from school and turn it on it it shows the black screen with the apple logo and then boots up it is baiscliy restarting itself when its left off for long times why is this should i take it back to wal mart

it doesnt reset just boots up

Mine does that all the time (I have the 20 gig), when I haven't used it in a day or so. It hasn't seemed to be a problem, so I haven't done anything about it.

first... does it completely reset or just reboot? if its just reboots and still has the time and all and works, then that just the powersaving mode.... if it wont work then go to the apple site and request a repair, they will send a box in like one day, then you wait like two or so days to get a brand new one....

It's supposed to do that.

Even if you put it to sleep it's still using battery power, so when you leave it alone it like shuts down completely or whatever.

mine does it. theres nothing wrong with it.
