If you are menstruating, then at that moment you are not using the nuvaring.. the period comes when you take it out... so, you can use your tampon... they're not in at the same time

actually no. if you read in the information in the box it says it doesn't bother it at all. you will want to put the ring in first and becareful taking the tampon out when finished. as the ring may come out with it.
and really the ring is clear so if you drop it in tolet water you wont be able to see it very good...
the ring worked very good for me, better then anything else i tired, so if your looking into it i say go for it

Short answer, no.
Long answer, no, but you shouldn't be wearing a tampon unless you are bleeding... which should be during the week when you are not wearing your NuvaRing anyway.

No. The ring comes out when you are on your period. You put a new one back in when you finish your period. Plus, it would be higher up than a tampon goes.
