Only brownshirt types (republicans) think it's anti-American. They forget that the government and it's leaders are beholden to US and not the other way around.

They are lemmings.

Far from being anti-American, to have a critical posture that analyzes every seminal action that our government takes, and assess it to see if they are moral and ethical is far from being unpatriotic. In fact it is the most patriotic thing one can do. The only people who vilify dissent, and insist that those who disagree with the government should be ostracized, and in some radical cases, prosecuted, are those who have leanings towards tyranny.

Democracy has as its very foundation the right and obligation of every citizen to be critical of the government. This country was conceived out of revolt with the ruling government. Hence, if anything, dissent against impropriety by the government is essential for a healthy democracy.

As Teddy Roosevelt once said: “To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

The way I would put it is this, a child cannot be made into a productive and law abiding citizen if he or she was left up to their own devices without guidance or reproof. How good that child grows up to be depends directly on his or her parent’s willingness to correct the wrong they see in that child. Nobody ever tells a parent that you “obviously don’t love your child because you are reprimanding him or her.” In fact most people find that a parent that doles out discipline is a good parent. Well the same holds true for a good citizen. This country is our child, and being a good parent/citizen you will do whatever it takes to see it improve.

So what is the failure you are criticizing???
Could it me something to do with the Iraq War? If so. read some of the Positives, the Successes, the good stuff, never visited by the Liberal Commie News Media.
Based on these types of stories, I see near Victory...Failure is not an option. Victory takes time.

Once you label something a "Failure" before completion, you now have a vested interest in assuring that it is a "Failure." Otherwise you are revealed to be the defeatist that you are.

Case in point. Now that the Administration is finally taking actions on other options in the War. Congress is moving to De-Fund the oporation and fascilitate more Casualties to bolster their Passivist Position.

its not anti american if its the truth or better yet the feeling of the majority of people living here ...its a dream and craziness to just believe what you read or whatever the t.v spits at you, everyone is blessed with a mind of their own and the beauty about america is that to some degree here people are free to say what they feel to some degree otherwise i see censorship as a big problem too.with today's problems and all i think people need to express themselves evermore but alas you americans are doomed with a president that turns a deaf ear to the public that elected him in office, the people he is suppose to serve and lead in to peace and prosperity not incite the worlds fury and bring this country to the brink of nuclear worlwide war...he is guilty of dereclation of duty as he has sworn to uphold and protect the constitution of the u.s.a
g.w.bush guilty as charged
american general population doomed until 2008 lets all pray to be here by then and have the worl in one piece not nuclear ruins

It's the most patriotic thing a citizen can do, ESPECIALLY when a diabolical and criminal administration is leading our great country down the road to hell.
