I felt bad for rejecting him. But what is better to do... be with him knowing that I didn't care for him in the same way. The relationship would be a lie. Not fair for him.
I didn't reject him in a bad embarrassing way. He first asked if I was interested in dating him. I said I liked him but nothing further then a friend. Then he poured his heart out.
He probably was angry or upset in some degree because he is insecure with himself.... knowledge I gained from a drunk call I got from him.

Yes, my Ex, and it was after the fact...he was a cheater and a liar.
I felt bad that I couldn't feel something for him after all the years we were together. After all the lonely nights I was left uncomforted by him I had no comfort to give to him. He always said I was heartless and had not a sympathetic bone in my body, he said if I was human I'd forgive him after he poured his heart out to me...I had nothing left to give him

yes! oh my goodness, but the guy dated my sister, had sex with her, and was her favorite bf of her teenage years. I felt bad for rejecting as I did. I just stop talking to him period, with no reason to tell him. He may be angry with me becuase he says that I was understandable and I was a good listener, he even wanted to marry me. I thought about being with the guy and say thw hell with the puppy love years ago between my sister and he. I couldn't see myself hurting her so I had to hurt him instead.
