fact is we will never get everyone to the polls cause not everyone cares as much as they should as to who is running this country. 300 million americans and most can't name the last five presidents we have had in office. that is a shame

Vote or Die??!!! Please!!! Good grief! Die how???!!!!
'rbarc' is absolutely correct!!!!!
There should be an amendment barring those with a 'diminished intellect' from voting added to the Constitution. There is a tremendous following amongst the Liberal, who's majority happened to be elements of the uneducated and ignorant, (i.e. angell_19).
There is an unfortunate amount of laws and policies in effect now or in the past that were suggested or pressured into effect by those trying to appear to 'help' and 'defend' the less fortunate,(increases in minimum wage which only DECREASES the middle class) the general population, (gun 'control' which only affects the LAW ABIDING citizen, since criminals will CONTINUE to break the law no matter what laws and regulations are enacted-so in effect, only restricts the self-defense of the victims), or the world, (continuing to be the LARGEST contributor to the U.N., an organization which tries to force the U.S to succumb to other member countries on it's panels like China, Cuba, Iran, Sudan and those who dislike us, the REAL Americans).
There must truly be an effort begun, or exposed to the masses if there already is one in effect, that will restrict great decision making to those who actually UNDERSTAND the law that is being ATTEMPTED to be passed. Too many people vote because it 'sounds' like a good idea or plan. There are people who are incredibly dangerous to our security and well being, (i.e. Al Sharpton, Hitlery Clintoon, John Kerry, etc.), who feed on the ignorance and stupidity of those eligible to vote.

I commend your patriotism, however, no law makes the candidates follow through with their promises. Many have gotten elected and suddenly 'changed their minds' on the issues for which they supposedly stood.
We the people should be able to 'fire' those that change their minds and kick them out of office. I think this has caused many to become discoraged with the voting process.

No, absolutely not!!! Nobody should vote unless they are willing to take a little time to get truly educated on the issues. Too many people vote on issues and people simply because on the surface it sounds like the "feel-good" thing to do. No. I say get yourself educated on the issues. Then, and only then, should you vote.

i agree with you... and if you don't vote you have no right to complain....everyone has a chance to stand up for their beliefs but for some reason they just sit back and complain.... if we weren't at war there would be something else they'd complain about...it so sad for them to call themselves americans. if you don't vote don't speak out
