There was a story of a man who had shot two men in the back after they robbed his store and turned to leave. They held him up with a fake gun, took watches etc.. Now.. the reason why it had come to this point, is because, after being robbed 9 times, and no help from police, this man kept an illegal gun (9mm) in his store, thus taking matter's into his own hands. Many people here agree with what he did, and he may only get a few months in jail, IF any time at all. My question's are, Is it right to take the law into our own hands? And, should this man do time? Or, Is he right? and if police are not helpful, is it ok to just shoot people in the back and get away with it? I would really like to hear opinions on this.

We have not heard if they are dead. They focused more on, if the man should or should not go to jail. I am waiting for the later news ")

Sounds like he was entirely justified. You don't mention his having killed the two crooks, so I assume he shot to wound (9mm can't do much else anyhow, it's just a pea-shooter). He would have no way to tell if their gun was fake.
When people decide to violate the law, they give up any protection from the laws. He would have been justified to shoot to kill.
The fault in any felony falls on the perpetrators, no matter who fires the weapon. Both of those guys are now also guilty of assault and battery since their actions caused the shooting.

when u look down the barrel of a gun you dont think is it a fake you are just scared that the idiot holding it is going to kill you. I say good on the store holder thats 2 less idiots. and I firmly believe all guns should be banned if the bad guys are useing them then let the cops shoot first and ask questions later

He has the right .He doesn't know the gun is fake. These people are losers who should be shot. This man is trying to make a living and should not have to worry about someone holding him up.I think he should get no time for this action.

What I think is if you are getting no help from police, especially after 9 times, then you basically have to take the law into your own hands. I don't think he should do time, because those men were threatening him and robbed him and he did what he had to to protect himself.

People who work hard for a living are sick and tired of people taking their hard earned money to do drugs and buy guns. Period.
