Well, they seem to appeal to different markets. Kelly Clarkson has the Teen Market , Clay Aiken has the Homosexual and Grandma Market, and Underwood has the Country Market. Taylor Hicks is too new to tell.

Well I kind of agree but Carrie Underwood has made a bigger success and is still climbing to the top. They are both great and have made it so far. And hey look at how far Jennifer Hudson has got, and Chris Daughtery has the #4 album in the USA right now. American Idol has made a big difference in these people lives.

For that genre..yes definitely! Nobody even comes close. I think Carrie Underwood is going to be just as big, if not bigger than Kelly. The country fans love her and she is doing amazing. She is becoming a household name. As for anyone else that has won American Idol, well, you hardly ever hear of them.

Disagree. She is good, yea... but her success slowed down... When Carrie Underwood won simon said "you will sell more albums than any other american idol"... and he was SO right (and i hate simon). Carrie is truly AMAZINGLY talented, she just keeps coming out with more and more hits. I saw her live this summer... I actually ended up meeting her because at the outdoor concert it started storming really bad and they had to cut it off because of all the electrical stuff... She felt bad and she actually went out in the rain to meet everyone! Her "people" had to make her go back to her trailor cause she was soaking wet!

Totally agree! Although Carrie Underwood is catching up. Kelly is by far the best thing to come from Idol. I rock out in my car when she comes on the radio!

Diagree I think Jennifer Hudson is living proof that you don't have to look or sound like Kelly Clarkson to be a sucess story from ameican idol which is refreshing.

Disagree. She was the first winner 6 yrs ago. In a short period of time look how successful Carrie and recently fantasia has become. Just wait and see where they will be in 6 years.

Agree, but she has also been the winner the longest. Some say Carrie will be bigger than her in a few years... I like Kelly the best.
