Explain what bowers mean in the game Youker please?

In Euchre, the highest cards in the deck (if you're not using the Joker) are the Jack of trump or Right Bower (whatever that may be called per hand), and the other Jack of the same color or Left Bower (diamond if heart is trump and vice-versa). These two cards trump all others and if you hold both, you're guaranteed to collect 2 tricks- you need 3 to score a point.
