That question would have different opinions depending on who answers that...christian verses non-christian.
My opinion is that people should cry at births, cause within the last 30 years this world has changed and not for the better, and to know that a child is going to be subjected to the standards of this world isn't a pretty sight. Personally I would not have a child, just knowing what their going to face. I'm a man...so I can never understand what it would be like to carry a child in me, but it's something VERY special for a woman, and it is a joyous time to teach and watch your own child grow, starting to walk, first word...etc.
As for death, I can't say that I've cried for the person that died, but to see the other ones around me hurt and crying...I tend to tear up too, but it's because of their pain and not mine. I know for myself if I attached myself to someone and depended on them on a regular bases and they were to pass on, then I would cry probably, because my resource and close friend has left me and theirs a part of me that no longer exists...especially with husband and wives, and it hurts!!! However people should rejoice at deaths, cause that person no longer with be in pain & termoil.
