Is Al-Assad straight up or did Jack kill Curtis for nothing?

I hope he is, but no one is ever like that on 24. I fear he will turn soon. And if he doesn't, in a few hours, things will have turned in another different direction and Assad won't be relevant anymore! That's 24 for ya!

I think that Al-Assad is really good for the whole thing but I think that by the time the seasons over he'll be dead.
