Why do some people think that Texans are cowboys/cowgirls, ride horses everywhere we go, and live on a farm

I know, right! They are just ignorant. Dallas is a fabulous city with a diverse culture, little of which is cowboys! lol A lot of Texas is lke this as well.

All states are stereotyped. I grew up in West Virginia and I am sick of people asking me if my Daddy was a coal miner (no he wasn't).

same reason people assume that everyone from arkansas is backwoods, or all people from california are surfers. i think every state has something about it and people just relate it to every single person that lives there.
