I mean cheap as in easily obtained or with little effort. (A cheap thrill) Not cheap as in inexpensive.

I'm facinated about how many of these answers were written expressing the fact that the writer had jumped to the conclusion that I am homosexual! I am not. I guess homophobia does exist though. It also shows there are those who would rather use puerile name calling first, like a shield, than to realize that my question asked if football games were 'not' (Aren't) cheap entertainment. What a bunch of fuzzy brained potato eaters!

I guess the later answers to this question affirms what level of mindlessness there is to be expected here.
Next question!

First of all Football isnt cheap, even if you watch it on your regular cable, and then the cost goes from there all the way to box seats and airfare to watch your favorite team.
As for entertainment, you obviously dont watch much football. Football is a sport. I have been watching football my entire life and I am so thankful that I have the appreciation for the game. Its plays like the Boise State Broncos pulled in their upset game to watch two of the oldest plays in the book be executed with such precision its a beautiful thing. Another is to watch your favorite team be down late in the fourth quarter in a bowl game to see them go for a two point conversion and make it to win the game.
My husband didnt watch football or know anything about it until recently and now he appreciates the sport. You should watch some games with someone who knows football to help you with a sense that football isnt just cheap entertainment.

You couldn't be more wrong. Football is one of the most popular American sports. It is also one of the most exciting sports to watch. I like the Jets as well as the Giants. It is great to watch a football game. You call football fans foolish masses? You are probably either from another country or probably gay. If you have the right to call football fans foolish masses then I have the right to call you gay. From what I understand you like Dharma and Greg. Which proves what I said. So, go watch Dharma and Greg and be apart of the gay masses. (I apologize if I offended any gay people. I was just trying to prove a point.)

First of all, good tickets are NOT cheap. Add in the parking, beer, hot dogs, etc., and it costs even more. If you are at home, NFL Sunday ticket is not cheap either.
RE: the foolish masses comment: Translated: You don't understand football.

Alright here's a couple CRAZY questions for you: People come on here cause they care about football...right? Why would you come on HERE asking such a moronic question? I think the only "cheap form of entertainment" is that "foolish mass" in your pants.

Is that not what entertainment is supposed to be. Cheap easily attained and meant to appeal to as many people as possible for the sole purpose of creating profit. If one needed to apply effort to entertainment would it not cease to be entertainment and being work.

Isn't this question just a cheap form of entertainment for a person who has clearly drunk too much Haterade, as he occupies his time asking a stupid question to occupy the time of his foolish self?

Your 360 page says you like Dharma and Greg, yet you're trying to mock football?
Dude, I think you're lacking a little something between the legs.
