If telling her she is beautiful doesn't work, then you need to SHOW her she is beautiful. Make her feel like she did on her wedding day. When a woman becomes a mom, sometimes the roles of what she should be (IE: wife, mom, woman) get all out of order. Plan a romantic evening for the two of you. Leave her a note that says a time to be ready. Have her clothes all picked out, preferably ones she fits into, and maybe schedule her to get her hair done. Have arrangements for someone to watch the children at their house so she doesn't have to worry about anything. Take her to dinner, and then come back home to a bedroom filled with candles that are lit. Let the rest happen.

You are right about her hormones. After having children, a woman's body may take up to two years to get back to normal, but that doesn't mean you have to put your "love life" on hold. You might try "seducing" her in a respectable manner by bringing her flowers, wining and dining her, rose petals, etc. Or, if she doesn't respond to several attempts at being seduced, and all else fails, she may need to see her OB/GYN for some medication that will balance out her hormones until she is back to normal. And, if that fails, we all know the last solution and I hate to even mention it - try some love counseling. Love potions from Bath and Body have had great results too!

Do you take your wife out every now and then? You need to date and court your wife. When a women becomes a mother, she soemtimes feels as if she's no longer sexy. She feels like, well...just a mom. Your wife probably just needs to know that you are still attracted and proud to be seen with her. Sure, you tell her, but she needs more than words. She needs action. Take her out to dinner or a movie. Show her that while she's a mom, she's still as sexy as ever!

Guys don't always realize that foreplay starts way before you hit the bedroom threshold. Do the dishes, make supper, send her flowers, look after the kids, scrub the bathtub - etc. She probably doesn't have a low sex drive, she's probably exhausted.

Plan a DAY for her at a SPA...

That night - have the kids gone - YOU make dinner - have some couple time.

She will be rejuvenated and well rested.

She is probably just whooped - give her some time - it kicks back in!

What everyone else is saying it true, you need to make her feel beautiful and appreciated, take her out and help around the house. BUT don't only do it on the days you want intimacy, do it every day, otherwise she will know you are just saying and doing things (even though you mean them) to get what you want.

give the kids to your mother and take your beautiful wife out on a date (but not late--as she will be tired)
