i've always wanted a little brother, but my parents are past the baby making stage, and they just kind of laugh when i mention adoption, but anyway i had this dream that we adopted 2 boys, brothers named Zachary (age 9) and Jeffrey (age 3). i remember how they looked and everythying. we took them in foster care at first and then adpoted them. it was weird and i didn't want to wake up. but what does it mean? was it just me fantasizing about the idea? or something else?

Often when we dream of children it is actually our inner child. But sometimes I have dreams like this that seem so special and real. I call them true dreams because they feel different from my other dreams. And in my case they often come true. But sometimes they do not come true for years. I dreamt about my son when I was fourteen and I did not give birth to him until I was nineteen but sure enough they were the same person. Good luck!

Probably just you wishing it would happen. I've had dreams in which something I really wanted was suddenly right there in front of me. But it never happened in real life. I'm glad dreams aren't as predictive of reality as some people think...otherwise I'm sure I'd be dead in some gruesome way many times over!

It probably doesn't mean anything special, but that doesn't mean your dream can't come true!

Well, you probably know the answer. If you want something so bad and you don't get it in reality, very often you will make yourself get it in dream. That shows your desire of obtaining out of your control.

It is normal, this kind of dream is a reflection of your helpless conscience. Basically you just vent this out in dream

Yes, it can either mean that you made your wish into a dream to make you feel better (self-fulfilling wish as therapists call it), or it might mean that the male part of your psyche (or more commonly known as your animus) is a young boy that needs to be taken care of and nurtured.

Sounds like it was just a dream built out of your desire to have a brother, nothing weird about it. From my experience dreams are just a release for our thoughts and desires.

Maybe this is something you will do in the future.
