Los Angeles Saints are still the most likely scenario I think....

Katrina kind of enforced a no-move period, but especially if the Saints win or even just go to the Super Bowl, that "honeymoon" period is going to be over. The reality is still that Tom Benson cant manage to negotiate a long term deal with the state. There will be those who start to question the state subsidy of the team, and the Superdome is still an old stadium that needs a total overhaul, or a new stadium be built for the Saints.

So, unless Benson can transform the Saint's stellar season into enough voter goodwill to get a new stadium, the problems that were festering before Katrina will rear their head again, and in 3 or 4 years San Antonio and LA will be pulling for a move again.

Plus, Angels and Saints go together pretty well :)

It's not alliterative, but it's not too clunky.

I'd try thinking of something that either rolls off the tongue a little easier, or try for an animal that you might actually see near LA, like a cougar. The jaguar is a cool animal, and I know they're in Mexico, but the cougar is much more relevant to southern California.

As a name, though, not bad.

You apprently haven't been to LA recently. If the Jaguar is found in large numbers in Mexico, it certainly would be an appropriate nickname for any LA sports team.

Anything pre-fixed with "Los Angeles" is bad.

Why do you think you here "LA" all the time?
