What things did you need most when moving into an apartment?

I am moving into an apartment in a week, but as we all know apartments don't have much room in them for everything. I have a lot of things, but i know they will not all fit so i am renting out a storage. I need to know if there is any advice about how to make more space, or anything i need to remember to get before i move in that would help out? What things should i make sure to keep out, and what won't be needed until i get a house?

Also, any advice on things that work really well, or can do more than one things (ex. cleaners that work on almost anything, or kitchen appliances that can cook many things)

A futon. Or smaller sofa with a hide-a-bed in it. allways works good. Microwave oven. Save yourself the dual expenses and sell that stuff you are going to pay to gather dust. What you cannot sell, donate to charity and get the tax writeoff as well as help someone else out.
To make space think Vertical not Horizontal.

Hi, well i know what a pain is to move, the last time i did i bought some storage bins of different sizes and i classified all of my clothes and all of the picture frames, cleaners, shoes, ext, it made it a lot easier since they have handles and are stackable, as for cleaners fantastik will be a good choice or pine soil

Get yourself a toaster oven, then you will not need a toaster, and you can save power/gas running a full-sized oven.
Dont forget the critical things such as a shower curtain and window blinds (or curtains).
Get lots of shelves or shelving units, then you can cram a lot into little space. They sell 6' plastic shelving units at any home improvement store or department store.
