I am 42 and feel like this is the best time in my life, I am having more fun and definitely more confident.

In my humble opinion, the people who tend to look negatively towards looking older... do so when they havent matured thru the years. I have seen 30 year old guys who still behave like 20 yr guys or even teenagers..... My point of view is that life is a constant learning process.... some people decide to stop learning at a certain age, thus they stop maturing, then one day they wake up to find out that their life is behind them, they look back towards their achievments or what they feel is worth in life and see how much time they wasted and thats when they start feeling bad about having aged... but when a person keeps on learning, age doesnt matter, what matters is the way you see yourself and being with the people you care about

I think that people who have trouble accepting the passage of time are those that still have unfinished issues that hold them back in the past or haven't enjoyed life to their fullest potential and so have regrets about all the things they could have done but didn't? Moral of the story? Do whatever makes you happy (as long as you hurt no-one else) so that you'll have no regrets!

Loss of sexuality is often the main reason; messing with rationalities for some.
Like everything with life, there are pro's and con's to every aspect of life. Good to see ppl like u who focus on the pro's; happiness always radiates from within and reflects the inner beauty which in my opinion is far more valuable to that of outward beauty.
