He's a bitter, jealous woman who craves attention. Maybe if he got drunk like Paula he wouldn't have so much of a stick up his butt. I don't care, I never watch that show anyway.

I am with U! All they seem to focus on is looks! How thin R the women, how sexy R the men. What a joke! When I listen to music I dont care what the person looks like, I want to listen to talent. This show is going off the chain! Seems Simon is fake, and its all a act between him and Paula I am no longer going to watch this show! Now it seems people R watching to hear his next idiotic statement and to see him and Paula argue and to see how high Paula is! Ruined a great show! But thats alright sooner or later this show will fail. I would rather watch Jerry Springer they dont hide the fact its all about the money!! And this was a great question!

You know, American Idol needs someone like Simon to keep the show's ratings up...personally i feel Simon is what makes the show interesting....he is a little nasty sometimes but the show would not interest me if it was just Paula and Randy....I think Simon is great.

Its just for entertainment. Everybody likes watching American Idol to see what Simon is going to say about someone this time. People that go on there half the time are just doing it to get on tv and so they deserve to hear the truth.

Because the viewing public eats it up with a spoon and it's good for ratings. Also, I'm not sure how nice I'd be after 8 hrs of auditions when over half of the people HAVE TO KNOW THEY HAVE NO TALENT. So many people go on TV knowing they're terrible singers, but they want to be the next William Hung.

I don't know that he's always as cruel as he is candid. After 5 seasons of AI, he does know what the public seems to want to see....him bashing a less than talented hopeful and them coming back at him. He may have crossed the line last night but it's definitely got people talking!

Simon went a little too far with that one, but he is not normally so cruel, he is just truthful and honest and sometimes the simple truth is cruel, but that cannot be helped.
