India has a lot to be photographed.... and many has been photographed. But ofcourse the must are Taj Mahal, Itmad-Ud-Daulah's tomb in Agra, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal, Amber fort and City Palace in Jaipur & the many forts & tombs in Delhi... to name few would be
Humayun's Tomb
India Gate
Purana Quila
Rashtrapati Bhavan
Qutub Minar
Rajghat
Red Fort
Safdarjung's Tomb
Tughluqabad Fort
You could also do a further search on net to know abt the above places, you will find plenty more of tombs which are not so famous if you ask the locals. But i think u will have more to photograph on the streets itself, with lots of colours....flowers sold on the street bazars, dress materials worn around, interesting jewellries, etc, etc.
But if you go southwards of India, you will find plenty more of greeny and less of palaces, for eg would be Kerala.
Enjoy ur stay in India!!!
