Barry Scott got his job on the Cillit Bang ad from a programme to help sufferers of Bridgenorth Shouting Syndrome. He can't help it. Give the poor guy a break.
On the other hand there is no justification for the Sheila's Wheels ads - to prove my point the song is already going 'round your head, isn't it? And driving you up the ****ing wall?
Nuff said!

Neil Burgess is an actor best known for his portrayal of the character "Barry Scott" on the UK version of the television adverts for cleaning product Cillit Bang.
He has, as a result of this, developed several famous shouted catchphrases. Some of these include "Hi, Barry Scott here!", "Look what it does to this penny!" and "Bang, and the dirt is gone!" Neil has also appeared in the music video for Real To Me by Brian McFadden. He also appeared on The Bill as an axe murderer.
Recently he has reprised his Barry Scott character to advertise for EasyOff's new multipurpose Bam cleanser.
A remix of the Barry Scott television adverts was produced and posted on the internet in 2005 by JAKAZiD, sampling extensively from Barry Scott's dialogue. A commercial release of the remix is expected in 2007. Neil is currently living in North London with his partner John Richards. I can't stand the ad's either! I also hate the new Barclaycard ad's with those 2 off that rubbish hospital comedy.

ALL the adverts are silly these days. Instead of actually advertising the product, we see these sexy women eating a Flake, or 2 kids (who can't drive) sitting next to those cars (Mireva & Zofira). They don't tell you ANYTHING about the product - the advertisers think the advert is gonna sell the product by good looks or cute kids. At least Andrex SHOWED you how soft & strong the loo roll was!!!

Personally, I hate all the adverts for those loans companies. They're so cringeworthy. (And in tiny writing they'll explain that if you borrow £5 you'll have to repay it over 80 years and the total payable will be £69,722!)
Oh, and those Lynx adverts...who actually believes that stuff?...so cliched...
But, those sofa adverts with Martin Kemp? Legendary.

I hate all the 'Brand Power' ones - like the recent kit kat advert. They look cheap, nasty and actually put me off buying kit kats.

That one with the multicoloured paint exploding by those buildings, it's for Sony tellys I think. I can't think how an Oxbridge marketing f*ck managed to convince the sony executives to make that pile of cr*p.
