There is no evidence of any kind that the devil or god are real. None. There is considerable evidence that they are completely human-invented mythical figures meant to calm people's fear of dying (in the case of god), and provide a "boogey-man" type of figure to blame bad things on (in the case of the devil).

Many human societies and religions other than christianity (though not all by any means) have had a "devil" type of figure, though his actions, duties, and influence vary greatly. It's convenient to have somebody around to blame your own bad behavior on. It's scary to children to tell them that the devil will punish them if they're bad. However, none of these ideas have any basis in reality.

The world would be a much better place if all people would take responsibility for their own actions, good and bad, instead of blaming the devil for bad things, and pretending "god" had anything to do with good things. I look forward to the day when all humans are educated and rational enough to finally toss ancient superstitions and fairy tales. :)

Yes to both. But never make the mistake of thinking they are equally matched adversaries, as portrayed in cheesy fiction. The devil is a creation of God, one of his angels, who rebelled against his Maker. He is not a threat to God, and is permitted to exist only for a time. He IS a threat to us, if we try to deal with him on our own. He was an angel, created before time, and privy to great wisdom once. He'll outwit you and turn you inside out before you even get started. You can't fight him, or defend yourself against him. Luckily, God loves us enough that he gave us a Protector and a Champion, someone the devil can't even touch. Someone even stronger, even wiser. His name is Jesus. Without Him, you don't stand a chance.

There is an entity who became known as Satan. He is kind of over rated really and just someone to blame evil on. There are a lot of "gods" but only one Creator.

That question has everything to do with what you believe. No one can tell you what you should think. You should try reading into religions and find the views in one that most suit you. I think I am more chirstian but I believe the Bible is ways to live a good life, not rules, as most organized religion views it as. You will know what feels right to you and good luck to you
