Not Maternity insurance just regular health insurance. Would the health insurance cover stuff like the hospial stay or would you have to have maternity insurance?

My insurance, and most of them require one co-pay at your first visit to the OB/GYN. That co-pay should cover all of your pregnancy related visits. You should not pay a co-pay when you deliver as you will be an admitted patient. Your insurance should cover all of your hospital costs outside of any telephone or cable bills that your hospital may or may not charge. Almost all insurance companies have a program to enroll in as a mom-to-be, find them online and try to link to it. They will send you everything you need to know and it will ease the admissions process when you deliver as your company will have already approved your stay. If you are using a discounter or just a partial policy it could be different, they are the only ones that can tell you what will REALLY be expected of you. Good luck!

It depends. Check your policy. I am the only female at the company I work at so their insurance doesn't cover maternity (great!). You can apply for medicaid or purchase maternity insurance on your own. They have different programs, a little costly, but better than footing the whole bill.

It depends on the type of insurance coverage you have. If you have an HMO and the hospital and doctors are in network, the majority of your expenses will be covered with a standard co-pay or daily fee. If you have a PPO or an Open Access Program, depending on the coverage level (in-network or out of network) a portion of your labor and delivery charges will be covered. Important to determine are whether your plan has a pre-existing condition, what network your hospital is in and what insurance coverage you have. Good luck.

Depends on the insurance you have. The insurance I had when I was pregnant and had my baby, covered just about everything. The only time I had to pay anything was a $10 copay for my vitamins each month, and I also had a copay for my two sonograms. Everything else was completely covered.

depends on your policy but usually yes it will cover some. If you are worried about not being able to pay for it apply for medicaid, it will cover everything. Contact your local health and human service dept for more details. I should also add you can have medicaid and be insured through another company, medicaid will pick up what your insurance company does not.

I had an HMO
I paid 25 dollars for everything
doctor visits, and Hospital bills
If your insurance do not cover hospital bill, not very good insurance.

Depends on what type on insurance you have. Mine pays 80% of the bills and I'm responsible for 20%.

It depends upon the health insurance company.

You buy an insurance policy with or without maternity benefits. Better check up on yours.

You need to call your insurance company since all insurance plans are different. They will be able to tell you your co-pay and all of your benefits. They may even have this information on their website.
