Can i put oma tracks onto an iPod?

I am thinking about buying the new iPod mp4 player. I currently own a Sony Walkman and all of my music files are oma files. Will the iPod software convert these files, or is it too much hassle?

yea
if u have itunes already
go to the file where your songs are saved
right click and open with itunes
if that doesn't work then dowload a converter online
