Too big to tumble, unless industrial sized tumbler is used.
A sandblater rented for a day might work to start, maybe silica sand would work well.
that will make it roughly smoothe, further sanding with a wet sand by hand i suppose to pollish it up.
Like the pet store guy said to the cleaner "polish it in the corner".
Or you could stick it in the waves of the ocean between a few boulders with sand found there and wait a few years.

OK get a wet rag and leave it moist then get some and put it on the other side then scrub away i use this on my old rock collection lolz and also if that don't work grab some dish soap and clean it with the soap to get the grime off then do the rag and sand after like 30 mins u poar water to get the sand off and wola sparkling rock lolz and if that don't work then theres always the spit and shine method lolz jk

If it is a good grade of quarts an electronic co might buy it for a good price. Very thin pieces of quarts Christel is the determinate for a Christel oscillator.
