Thought New York would be under mean but when I visited there everyone was really nice. The people in Chicago acted like I expected the New yorkers to act.
Add Georgia to your list of rude and mean people.

Mississippi, Texas, and Colorado---Mississippi girl here, and we're all nice :)
Never been anywhere besides southern states though, but I hear New York and Illinois folks are pretty rude.

i'm a miami girl and most people down here are very friendly and helpful but then again you always get your stick in the mud ppl too but that's everwhere.
