i started wearing makeup at 15, i started with eyeliner and then eyeshadow. At about 17 i started getting acne which was caused by threading. So i started to wear foundation. In a way i wish id waited because makeup is addictive and if you really like the way you look with it on, then its hard to go without. Im 21 now and my skin isnt perfect but its clearer so i try to just wear concealer and powder. I always wear eye makeup of some sort, because your eyes are the first thing that people notice.
Overall, i think that makeup is fine from around 15-16, just eyemakeup. Try to hold out using foundation for as long as possible.
All makeup is bad for your skin because it contributes to wrinkles. Mineral make up is properly better because its more natural. But generally, make up will damage your skin whatever age you start. And also when you do start wearing it, makesure you are a slave to your cleansing regime. Always, always wash it off at night, for everyday you sleep in makeup, you age 8 days.

I don't think wearing make up when your young will damage your skin. I think wearing makeup when your too young just looks tacky. I would say 12 or 13 would be a good age for some clear mascara and some clear or light colored lip gloss.

It really would depend on how your skin is. If you have naturally very clear skin, I would wait until you're at least 16. If you are uncomfortable with the way your skin looks, ask your mom how old she started. Usually moms have similar skin problems and can give you good advice as to when you should personally start. As for what to use at first, some lip gloss, maybe some natural shades of eyeshadow to bring out your eyes at around 13. The full works isn't something that should be used until you're older (at least 16 or 18). A great guide to use is Bobby Brown's book. She gives you tips on what to use, how old to use certain things, and how to pick out what's right for you.

Makeup itself won't damage your skin. You need to make sure you are committed to proper skin cleansing if you start wearing makeup. Never go to bed with makeup on, it can clog your pores and make them appear larger.
If you're just starting out, just try a little powder to even out your skin, blush ( I wear bronzer as a blush, it looks natural) and neutral eye shadow colors like brown, gray or peach.
I had to wait until 14 to wear it, and it was a good choice on my parent's part to make me wait. I'm going to do the same thing if I have a daughter.

Somewhere around 15 years old. Don't wear to much though, you will definitely glog your porse. Just a little face pouder, lip gloss, eye liner and mascara. Remember the one key to wearing makeup, "make it look like your not wearing any at all, natural looking". Also when you go to bed make sure you wash your face and to clean it with a moisterizer, otherwise the oil in the makeup will built up and create piples.

Good question. I started wearing make-up in 6th grade. Just mascara and coverup. To prevent your skin from getting damaged (which only happens from sunburns and bad make-up) I suggest you wash your face every night with make-up removal then wash your face with cleansing soap. Try not to get your face sunburned.
I started wearing eyeshadow and eyeliner on the top lid(heavy black on the bottom looks nasty). I have nice skin still and I look nice too. I am now in 9th grade. Make sure you don't cheap out on the make-up buying either. I like L'oreal, Covergirl, and Maybelline. Nice products. Not to overpriced or underpriced.
Happy Make-up Hunting!

i think once you get to high school (if you're not in high school already) is a good time. however, don't overdo it. a little blush, lip gloss and mascara is fine. if you need to use concealer or foundation, use it in places where it's needed (for instance, if you have a pimple on your chin).
if you're younger, use some clear mascara instead, and some lip gloss. i think any age below 14/15 is too young to wear foundation.
try to enhance your natural beauty - don't cover it up with too much makeup. :]
